Identity Correction & Verification

This service allows you to request a correction to the name or date of birth recorded on your Ghana Card, subject to verification and review by the NIA Legal Directorate.

Legal Notice & Consent for Biometric Processing

To verify your identity, this system will capture a live image of your face and compare it against your enrolled record using the NIA facial verification service, in accordance with the National Identity Register Act, 2008 (Act 750) and the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

  • Your facial image is used only for identity verification and is not retained beyond this purpose.
  • The information returned (name, date of birth, gender, Ghana Card PIN) is shown to you for confirmation only.
  • Providing false information in a correction request is an offence under the relevant legislation.
